London Town Fling

Dearest Lovelies,

I hope that you are all well and beyond excited for the tropical weather, impending spaghetti strap tans, cold coronas by the beach and everything else affiliated with a glorious Australian summer. Well while you revel and await this long awaited season, we have some bittersweet news on our end! As some of you may know, I'm currently on a 6 month hiatus studying, travelling and falling in love with Europe so in the meantime Friperie will be hibernating and will not trade from this August until February 2013 (noo!). Fear not for we will be back with more goodies and surprises in store for Autumn 2013 and will be sure to inspire, reinvent and revolutionise shopping for the modern, cash-conscious woman! In the meantime we will keep you posted on anything fashion related regarding my travels as well as let you know of any great new brands and trends springing up back home. Until then thank you once again for still loving us! Truly grateful for two years worth of friendship and finding my threads a home in your wardrobes! Hope this break won't stop the ball rolling and be sure to keep watching this space and letting folks know about our Facey and Twitter!

Day After the Dead

Dearest Friperie fans,

How I've missed this. Hopefully absence has made your heart grow fonder since our last summer collection, which I might add was another remarkable success! Thank you so much for all the people who make our vision and dreams a reality, from my favourite photographer friends who take the time to shoot and edit, to the people who promote, support and get the word out about Friperie relentlessly and most of the time without being asked to of course the lifeblood of my little baby, our regular and new customers that purchase and show interest every single season since we've started. I appreciate and adore you all. Thank you for helping me in this training ground of what may or may not be the start of bigger dreams being effectuated into flesh. Anyway enough of the sap, what I really wanted to let you guys in on is that we're back and better than ever for our Autumn 2012 collection. It's been awhile but this season we've collated and saved some amazing (some even brand new) pieces for you to parade this Autumn. Think party dresses and statement pieces coupled with glimpses of winter (jackets, stockings, layers). There is also a reason for why the title of this notice is called "Day After the Dead" beyond the fact that I've been overdosing on zombie movies or anything equally morbid haha. This season's collection is entitled "My Sugar Skull Sweetheart" and will feature glimpses of the infamous Day of the Dead festival celebrated in good ol' Me-he-ko. I won't give too much away but that should explain why I'm looking scarier than usual in the photos. We will be releasing "My Sugar Skull Sweetheart"on the 30th April 2012 (Time TBA on our facebook page), so please spread the word and ingrain this in your memory. Last announcement is that we will be releasing two sets of the collection photos- those one the website will be in black and white (for artistic purposes) so if you're curious about the real colour of any garment please pop on over to our facebook page or email/facebook private message/tweet us with your queries.

Greetings beautiful friends,

Although it is very delayed, I do hope each and every one of you is enjoying 2012 so far and the glories and surprises it will bring/already has brought. Wherever you may be located in the world, we are wishing and hoping you will have an unreplicated year of laughter, cheesy movie nights in bed, rooftop weed parties, bargain sample sales, delicious cuisine, travelling the world and loving life in general ahead yewww!

Firstly I'd like to happily announce that we are back in business and better than ever this 2012 with the much anticipated summer collection. I know Sydney is suffering from spells of "season schizophrenia" (a definite inspiration for this upcoming collection's theme) but we hope you'll find these vintage threads and fabulous transeasonal garb a home in your heart and wardrobe. Hello lovelies!

Apologies for the silent treatment but we're finally getting our itshay sorted to bid 2011 a bittersweet farewell and to welcome the new year with open arms and greater expectations. Firstly, thank you for all those who supported our spring offering "Little Lady Lost" and most especially those who found some of our lovely garb a home in their wardrobes. Just to let you know, we've reduced some of the prices from the remaining items for sale as well as our winter collection "In a Winter Wonderland" so please do have a final peek before they're no longer available. Second, due to conflicting and busy schedules we're going to have to delay/postpone our Summer collection till the end of January. The official date will be confirmed ASAP but we apologise in advance for not getting the new collection out in sync with the new year. Alas, I promise you will not be disappointed by the amazing summer pieces (yes, even some for you handsome men) we have to offer for 2012!

Thirdly, due to the delay of our Summer release we will be releasing a Christmas/New Years giveaway that will run from the 18 December 2011 until 8 January 2011. The details on what we're actually giving away and how to win them for your own will be announced on the 18th but just to let you know it's nothing like the crappy KK gifts or oblivious distant relative presents you may receive or have received in the past. Have you missed us? We sure have! It's been awhile since we shut our sleep eyes and hibernated through winter but alas, spring time is very much on the radar and despite Sydney's ever schizophrenic weather, we at Friperie have spring fever (not the hayfever kind, thankfully). We've finally gotten our shoot sorted (many thanks to my talented friend Neil Guasch), photos edited and we're beyond excited to share with you all the fabulous trans seasonal garb we have to offer. Winter warmers

Hi lovelies,

I hope you are all well, and that your winter has been a relentless yet delicious cycle of snuggles, hot chocolate, credit card damage and reverse cycle air conditioning. I know we're all dying for spring to emerge out of the grizzly mornings and nights we are currently experiencing but while we wait, I hope you'll embrace Friperie's winter collection for 2011. After delays due to busy schedules and uncooperative weather, we've finally gotten this collection shot and ready for editing and release. Firstly, thank you immensely to my amazing friend Andrea (http://hausofstylelovers.blogspot.com/) for shooting the collection and braving the bed weather and winds!

Although this collection is quite smaller than the regular, we hope that the pieces won't disappoint. Nothing's Sweet About Me.

Hey Changelings!

Recall Gabriella Cilmi's one hit wonder? Well regardless of whether you thought it was a shit or hit, this song title couldn't have summed up Friperie's latest Autumn collection. This season we're offering beautiful vintage threads, bright colours, subtle patterns and everything sweet and sickeningly good. However the Friperie woman is multi-faceted and this collection reflects the contradiction. It is all about feminine and masculine, naughty and nice, sweet yet sour, harmless yet toxic. Indeed this Autumn we want to keep you guessing. These pieces will forever keep you puzzled as to whether she is innocuous or fierce, or perhaps one will never really know.

Hope your April has been treating you well! It's been remarkably busy on our end of the world but finally our Autumn collection is in the works. We've got a photographer on board and soon we'll be shooting and selling all in the same week. We're just as keen to give away these goodies as much as you want them in your closets so please keep your eyes peeled for the officially release (date TBA but we're looking in around two weeks!). Hi lovelies,

Hope your autumn has been splendid so far! First and foremost, thank you soooo much for all your support and love towards friperie and it's summer collection. Markdowns and items are still available from our "First dates & Big Mistakes" collection, so please snag a bargain or spread the word while they're still up for grabs.

As for our autumn collection, busy schedules and life in general have been the culprit for our delayed timing. Apologies on our part but sorting and shooting should be done towards the end of March for an early April release. Expect pretty party cocktails and some cute warm knits to combat winter's steadying approach! We will be also releasing our belated birthday giveaway this April with some sweet and spoilworthy goodies to lavish you with. So keep your eyes peeled to the noticeboard for more details. Summer Collection and Facebook

Hello lovelies,

Just a few quick announcements to be made, first is just a reminder that our summer collection (number one for 2011) entitled "First Dates and Big Mistakes" will be released tomorrow, January 31. The time as of now is unconfirmed but we will be releasing the collection to the general public between 6-9pm (it will definitely by posted by 9pm the latest) EST. So please do not forget the date or hesitate to spread the word. This would be much appreciated. I am so excited for this collection and hope for your unwavering support on this one!

Secondly, as of our summer collection, we will be posting our entire shoot (including photos unseen on our website) on our facebook fan page (after inital release on our official website, this blogspot). The purchasing process will still remain the same (via email or facebook message) however, this will give us an opportunity to expand our customer base so please have a peek/be a fan!

Lastly, I can't believe Friperie is turning 1 next month! It's amazing to think that my baby has progressed to what it is today and I can't express my gratitude for the support, love and constant customers that I have in you all. Happy new year darlings!

As belated as that sounds, it feels like January first over here at Friperie as we get cracking sorting, shifting, shooting and welcoming the new season with our summer collection. With shooting done and editing to go, we are beyond excited for this year and what Friperie will accomplish in the new year. This 2011 we have greater gifts of lustworthy apparel, giveaway galore (our birthday is coming up!), interesting shoots and campaigns and much more fun for our fans and customers to come.

• The Friperie needs a face project will be launched this month. We're on the prowl for some avid artists and creative geniuses to make Friperie's logo! • Our next official collection for the Spring will be released! Details to be announced. 
• Spring cleaning continues, we will be wiping out our old precious junk from previous collections and making way for 2011!

1. Thank you for all who have purchased from July's offerrings 'Grandmother's Closet' and we hope to receive more willing and generous offers to find these unique pieces a home.
2. Please note price changes to the last three collections have been made so don't forget to drop by and recheck the further reduced bad ass bargains!
3. Summer is almost upon us! I can't wait for the comeback of the singlets, sweat, tan lines, visible thighs and ice cream. To celebrate the long awaited season, Friperie is spring cleaning to make way for the heat-filled days. This means from September - November Friperie will be removing unsold items from existing collections and making way for a new season of apparel. Slowly but surely the price of items will disappear meaning they are no longer for sale. But take heart, the new collections will inspire, perspire and make you froth!
4. End of August/Early September, a one-off mini collection will be posted filled with accessories, bags, shoes and other miscellaneous wonders. Keep an eye on the noticeboard for more details.
5. The next real collection will be in October, this is Friperie's spring offering and will begin to suffocate you with feminine pieces and vintage garb galore.
