FRIPERE NEEDS A FACE UPDATE

Hello lovely friends of Friperie!

Just wanted to let you all know that the Friperie needs a face project has been extended to October 13! Please keep those emails with your logo ideas coming! I am beyond excited to see what creative things you have up your sleeve, your 5 minute scribble could finally give Friperie an identity! Please spread the word to your friends and folk who you believe are artistically articulate. Or even if they aren't. Give it a try! Don't forget to read the rules of the project here.

Friperie needs a face project

I've come to realise, actually I've always been aware I've just recently struck enough effort to conduct this, that Friperie has been in existence for seven or so months and still lacks a distinguishable face. We all know how annoying it is to pronounce Friperie in public (myself included) without sounding like a snotty pole-up-my-ass french wannabe or even worse, a defacer of the beautiful language. Hence, Friperie is calling its artistic friends and other strangers keen to stretch their creative bones by creating a logo for this little baby of mine.

Rules & Details:

1. Project starts from the 13 September- 1 October 2010 (12am EST).
2. Email logo and rambles to abigailanncruz@hotmail.com 
3. You must either refer a friend or yourself as Friperie's friend on facebook/twitter/lookbook.
4. Your logo must have the name Friperie somewhere in your design. At the very least the letter F.
5. Any medium is acceptable, please resize your images though to no greater than 640 x480 dimension wise. jpg formats only accepted.
6. The sky is the limit with what I'm looking for thematically/conceptually. The only thing I will hint is that if you intend to draw an intricate colourful Sistine chapel equivalent, you most likely will not be selected. Since its a logo, I'm after something that is original, easy to remember, embodies what Friperie is and is easy to use as a banner, tag etc. So go crazy, absurd and ridiculous. Feel free to attach a short explanation of your idea for the logo if its not self-explanatory.
7. Break a rule and you will not be considered or disqualified from the project.

Prize & Collection:

• Friperie will use the the selected winner's design as their logo (obviously!)
• Credit will be given to selected winner as well as free promotion if desired.
• Since we're still meager as a little hobby, I apologise for not being able to give a stellar prize and instead a small token of appreciation...

Spring into spring.

Hello Friends!

I know Friperie has been very sleepy during the winter season but now that Spring has almost graced us with its much awaited presence, we can't wait to up the anty and bring you more goregous garb and spicen things up with our new and exciting schedule for the rest of the year. So this Friperie's calander for the remainder of 2010. Scribble down the details and don't forget. We'd hate for you to miss out on all the vintage goodness at tightarse prices.

SEPTEMBER

• We've got a male guest seller this month! So grab a bargain and some ridiculously handsome apparel. Ladies, spread the word to your manfriends and keep a lookout for the unveiling of friperie's first love collaboration (for a limited time only).
• We've got a mini collection (accessories only) to drug up your bored little wardrobe for the season! Coming soon, check the noticeboard for details.
• The Friperie needs a face project will be launched this month. We're on the prowl for some avid artists and creative geniuses to make Friperie's logo! Details for this project will be on the noticeboard as soon as it comes to being. Little tokens of appreciation will be given to whose logo we choose to use!

OCTOBER

• Our next official collection for the Spring will be released! Details to be announced. 
• Spring cleaning continues, we will be wiping out our old precious junk from previous collections and making way for 2011! 

DECEMBER

• Finally the festive season! Sharing is caring and to show our appreciation and hope you have a splendid christmas we've got some goodies to give away! 
• We'll be welcoming 2011 with our summer collection in January and celebrating our birthday in February with more lovely shit to lavish you with!

So don't forget to note down the special dates, keep spreading the word and thank you once again. We appreciate all the support and effort you all make. We love how you've opened your closets for us and we hope that we'll still be making you froth and lust like we did from the start.

TO DO LIST

1. Thank you for all who have purchased from July's offerrings 'Grandmother's Closet' and we hope to receive more willing and generous offers to find these unique pieces a home.
2. Please note price changes to the last three collections have been made so don't forget to drop by and recheck the further reduced bad ass bargains!
3. Summer is almost upon us! I can't wait for the comeback of the singlets, sweat, tan lines, visible thighs and ice cream. To celebrate the long awaited season, Friperie is spring cleaning to make way for the heat-filled days. This means from September - November Friperie will be removing unsold items from existing collections and making way for a new season of apparel. Slowly but surely the price of items will disappear meaning they are no longer for sale. But take heart, the new collections will inspire, perspire and make you froth!
4. End of August/Early September, a one-off mini collection will be posted filled with accessories, bags, shoes and other miscellaneous wonders. Keep an eye on the noticeboard for more details.
5. The next real collection will be in October, this is Friperie's spring offering and will begin to suffocate you with feminine pieces and vintage garb galore. 
6. Please read the collection spiel for the updated method of our collection releases.
7. Smile at handsome stranger, toss a busker some coins, eat ice cream from the tub, wear a colour you never do, go for a morning run, call a friend you haven't seen in awhile, grocery shop with mum, cook with your favourite boy/girl, keep Friperie as your frequent lusts.Live life.

I am beyond excited for friperie's launch tomorrow! It has certainly been awhile and apologies for keeping my baby dormant, but the rest and wait is worth it I hope. Progress and New Collection

Hello lovelies! How it's been awhile. Hope you are all well and have rested those little wallets and pockets for friperie's return. Friperie has been undergoing a few changes in terms of site appearance, inventory and continual improvement to make your shopping experience delightful. I hope this vacation has not encouraged you to forget your fashion lusts but have only birthed excitement for the future of friperie. Please expect in the latter half of 2010 for more vintage finds, collections systematically spread apart (we are giving more allowance between each launch), technological advancements and easier methods of browsing and shopping.

Before I bid you adieu, please don't forget that the latest collection entitled "Grandmother's Closet" will be released on the 27th July 2010. Time is still TBA. I hope you are excited for this floral wonderland, vintage threads and pieces waiting to be hacked, altered and sewed to your taste. From Paris with Love

To all my beloved customers and friends,

Thank you for your support with the last collection! I am also aware of friperie's long silent treatment. but alas the rest is almost over. Friperie will awake from its hibernation soon end of july and will come to play with a collection of adorable vintage and vintage-esque attire.
